If you’re excited about MTB and active weekends you won’t be missing out of our extended weekend tour in the northern Harz, Germany. Here our guides will be welcoming you at our hotel in Altenau, Harz, where you will stay during your tour.
The Harz area is well known for its astonishing nature which is packed with the best MTB trails you can imagine. You’ll experience a great mix of singletracks, downhill and flow trails covered with rocks and roots.
The tour is from Friday to Sunday which makes 3 days full of MTB. You’ll be accommodated at our hotel in Altenau. Our hotel is equipped with all the MTB amenities you’ll need; secured bike storage, bike workshop, professional washing facilities e.g.
You’ll get a delicious breakfast every morning which is included. On the tours, we’ll enjoy our lunch at a local restaurant. A delicious dinner buffet on the hotel is available for additional purchase.
Friday: We will set out for a 30-kilometre tour in the afternoon, after your arrival at our hotel in Altenau.
Saturday: We'll spend our day at the Bike Park in Sankt Andreasberg.
Sunday: We will go for a 20-kilometre tour in the area surrounding Altenau.
Spend an additional day in the Harz
An extra night from Thursday to Friday is also available for additional purchase. If you choose to do so, you'll get breakfast Friday morning as well.
To make the best of it for all participants we’ll be more than happy to divide the groups after MTB level and experience. It’s not about biking the longest nor being the fastest, but to have fun and have a good time.
To make it as easy as possible for you we’re also offering mountain bike rental. We’ve got an extensive range of mountain bikes from Ridley and Santa Cruz – right from aluminium hardtails to the newest carbon full suspension bikes.

Each and every activity with MTB Travels is at your own risk. You will have to sign a disclaimer before departure on the first day. MTB Travels cannot be held responsible for accidents and/or injuries. We strongly recommend that you check your own insurance before departure.
Remember to bring the necessary safety equipment and warm clothes. Extra tubes and tires for your mountain bike are also recommendable. A helmet is required to attend our tours.
